For Residents and Fellows Interested in Joining RFS:

To become a member of the SIR - RFS, you must be a SIR member. SIR offers FREE memberships to medical students, and resident/fellow members in training can enjoy all benefits of full members for the annual membership rate of $50 (as of June 2014). For more details on member benefits go here. To apply for membership go here. For more information, contact Shaun Singletary, SIR Member Services Associate at SSingletary@SIRweb.org.

The Society of Interventional Radiology Resident, Fellow and Student Section (SIR-RFS) is accepting applications for volunteer leadership positions within the SIR-RFS (future service line leaders and action committee members).

We serve as the voice of residents and fellows training as Interventional Physicians while promoting the clinical model of Interventional Radiology practice. We work to develop special academic programming and resources for residents, bolster IR education for medical students, provide support for new training pathways, research, and resident-run clinics, and organize networking and social events year round.

If you would like to volunteer for this unique opportunity, please fill out the application found here. If you have any questions, or would like more information, please contact us at RFS@sirweb.org. Thank you for your interest and we look forward to getting you involved and working with you!

For Medical Students Interested in Joining the Medical Student Council:

The Society of Interventional Radiology’s Medical Student Council (SIR-MSC) represents the interests and educational needs of medical students interested in Interventional Radiology. We encourage the growth of IR interest groups and local-regional conferences, and we provide education resources, including lecture series, videos, and mentoring.

We encourage all interested medical students to sign up to receive information from SIR's Medical Student Council (MSC) here.

The MSC publishes a quarterly newsletter specifically for medical students. We also send information about regional conferences and webinars where you can talk with leaders in the field.

If you wish to apply or have any questions, please contact us at SIR.Students@gmail.com.
