ATTN: Medical Students, apply to both IR and DR, here’s why

Medical students who are hoping to become Interventional Radiologists, please read carefully:

1. Should you only apply to IR Residency to become an IR?

No, absolutely not, in fact, you should apply to both IR and the traditional Diagnostic Radiology Residency.

Why?

Initial applicant numbers far exceed the number of available IR Residency positions. But, you can become an IR through multiple pathways, such as ESIR:

What is ESIR, and what other pathways are there to becoming an IR? <-- GOLD

2. What is the real TRUTH about the IR and DR residencies, in your path to becoming an IR?

FACTS vs. MYTHS <-- ALSO, GOLD

Check these two documents out — email sirrfs@gmail.com with questions!
